C++ Programming for Non-C Programmers: Concepts, Design, andImplementationIn this course you will learn the dual nature of C++: the high-levelsupport for data abstraction and object-oriented programming, togetherwith the low-level, detailed responsibilities that fall on a C++programmer. The subset of C++ presented is sufficient to learn the basicsof object-oriented programming, including classes, inheritance, andpolymorphism. General principals of object-oriented design are presentedand linked to the corresponding language features. This course benefitsthe programmer/analyst who knows at least one high-level language, suchas FORTRAN, COBOL, Pascal, or Ada.
